I got a Craftsman 150PSI 33 Gallon compressor for christmas. it was oin sale and it came with Ratcheting Wrench, Impact wrench, and Air hammer. with hose and the connections you need. after i picked up a few tools (3" cut off weel, Paint spray gun, Nailer) i came to notice that 150psi is alot, all my tools pretty much go at about 90psi max.

havn thad it for long so that about all i know. =D

What do you want to do with the compressor?

Be careful...alot of the higher pressure units on the market....125PSIG or higher...do not have continuous duty cycles (can not run continuously).

Painting.....the HVLP's (high volume low pressure) units available today are superior. They are oil free and because of their lower compression rartios...they are virtually water free. They will never contaminate the paint.

I would love to state the math but I think this will lend some guidance. I have two compressors..the first is a 3/4 horse x 10 gallon and the second is a 1-1/2 horse x 20 gallon. the former struggles to keep the impact running at 80PSIG on the Festiva lug nuts where the later hardly runs.

And...body equipment...linear or orbital sanders...suck more air than just about any impact wrench, ratchet, or drill.
