Someone just offered to sell me an '89 Mazda Miata. What parts of this car can be used on a Festiva?

How about on a 2001 Escort. The car is clean, has 45K miles on it. Engine runs good but it's wrecked in the front end.

I dont think theres much that can be used from the Escort. The Miata on the other hand becomes a different story.

I guess I wasn't too clear. I have a Festiva and I have a 2001 Escort. The Miata is the parts car that might be available. It's a dual overhead cam engine. That's about all I know about the engine. Five spoke mags. I think rear disc brakes.

The Miata wheels will work if you do an Aspire brake swap. And I believe there was a member here that used the engine in his Festiva (search Darpien).

you're dealing with a first gen miata, with the 1.6L. output is about 105bhp on a good day, but the torque curve is fairly broad and smooth.

if i were you, i'd turn that into a track car, but i'm not you. in either case, this is your chance to experiment!!! and we all know how fun that can be.

Is this not a perfect donor for a rwd setup?
