fair price for an '89?

I'm thinking about selling my 1989 Lplus, 270K miles, AC, cassette.
Body is good, a few smaller rust spots in the usual places, one dent
on the fender (thanks, neighbor). PA inspected for another 6 months,
two new tires, new ball joints. Runs well, well maintained, original
owner.

Any feelings on fair market value in Western Pennsylvania for the
car? Any suggestions on how to sell it - local paper, ebay, etc.?

Sorry, Matt, it's a 4 speed manual. Could be a great car for her to learn to drive a manual transmission car, though :wink:

I just paid $350 for my 89 daily driver. It needed a few things but runs and drives well. Add a few $'s for A/C on your car. I would think you should be able to get $500 for it. Here is a pic of mine.

down in florida festivas are dirt cheap. my 160K mile festiva cost $200 if i remember correctly, and it had air, minimal body damage, almost no rust, although the paint was pretty faded.

the price changes a lot depending on where you are. Up here there is someone selling a festiva hornet car for $300, and he'll probably find a buyer. I've seen a nice 92 festiva with 150k miles on it go for $1600.

Paid 400 for my 95 Aspire

I paid 400 for mine, only 113 000 KM, Needed nothing but a catback exhaust. Not a speck of rust which is rare where im from (detroit area)

I paid $500canadian for BOTH of mine. One was a daily driver, other was a parts car. Cost me about $100 ccanadian to swap the windshields and tada, a car that passes. I should mention that the emissions test, well, i got FRICKIN lucky! On one of the thingies, it landed square on the number. Not one less, not one over, right on the passing mark. WHEW!

It's got 240 000km on it, and still runs fine.

What is the average amount of km's these cars will get in a lifetime?
