  • Cupholder "Mod" for a quarter

OK, hardly a mod, but a solution anyway... The slide out cupholder would be in my way so here's how I got around the problem of no cupholder. Got a 25 cent plastic door hanging one and slid it into the door panel on the passenger door, and leaned it against the armrest. It works great, and cheap too. Dumb, I know, but...

Tried that. One good power shift (I forgot it was there) and iced coffee all over the place!

    You can laugh now.

      If it works, it works!

I was just thinking, looking at your pics, that if you were to attach a cupholder like that to a piece of wood cut to fit down into the door handle opening, you might be able to live with the result and it wouldn't be too flimsy.

Or possibly a piece of sheet steel or aluminum fitted under the door handle (held by the two screws through the handle) with a cupholder screwed to the metal sheet.

I actually had to wiggle it in to the door panel pretty good so it's pretty tight. And I don't and won't power shift that poor little thing; it'll leave something expensive on the road behind it with my luck.

That is the largest cupholder I've ever seen! Or does it just look big?

I just use the ashtray spot for cans and small drinks, or for big ones just squeeeeze it between the drivers door and the seat. Just have to remember it's there when i go to get out!

It is a standard size cup holder in a tiny car. Everything looks bigger compared to a Festy.
