bypass VAF sensor

I've been driving festy's for 4 years but I'm new to this list and new to modding the car. I have a 93L EFI completely stock. Was wanting to put a cold air intake. How do you bypass the VAF sensor, or is it recommended?

You cannot bypass the factory air meter(unless you spend lots of money). You can adapt and move it.

Any suggestions on what would be the best way to go? I saw the DIY Cold Air Intake on FF.com. I like the way it turned out with the exception of using the original airbox. I would want to remove all that and just use the vaf alone if possible.

that CAI is only using the VAF meter (Vane Air Flow) Not the box.. You must be refering to a MAF Sensor (Mass Air Flow) like on the OBDII cars.. 2 different animals...
