  • Will this short shifter work?

I am wondering if this short shifter will work?

Seems like someone here used a Honda short shifter on theirs. Had to do something to it to make it work though.

    Found this.

Looks like most people are just hitting the JY for their short shifter.
Although a couple threads sighted shifters from 88 - 91 Hondas.

It should work, but you will have to cut down the spring to get it in.

Just like brian said...you have to cut down the spring dramatically to get it in (at least that's how it was in my two festivas) I got the hurst purple anodized short throw shifter for the civic, and it works great. I haven't seen them for a while now on ebay, but again, I haven't looked that hard:-) I had to cut my spring so there was barely one coil left on it in order for it to work.
