  • Rusty rear brakes

Just thought I'd amuse everyone with a pic of my rusty rear brakes. Everything was frozen, and of course that is the stripped spindle I had talked about on another thread. Thanks to Rolla4me, i have a good replacement. Should be back on the road Monday.

lol....thats not that bad....other then the spindle....should have taken a pic of mine. The lining was split away from metal on the show....lots of rust. Still not great though... make sure you get the emergency brake mechanism all freed up. Good luck.

Haha!!! Seeing your pic, I can't stop laughing!!! Were I live, I would consider that plenty good!!! I should take pics of mine!!! The cylinders have a crust of rust coming off and the drums are so rusted that there's some chunks missing from edges!!! But like GenevaDirt said, I just made sure to free up my parking brake mechanism and put in new shoes to help for a few hundred miles before I'm ready to do the Aspire swap...
The left lane? Are you crazy!!! I never drive in the left lane...It's full of freaks driving the wrong way and charging right at you!!!
