I'm driving out tommrow to talk to a man about a Festiva. I already have a car that runs and drives great, good mpg and nice a sporty, so why am I doing this? CUz now I can afford to do the BP swap I talked and talked about. IF I can get a car for a darn goods price and line up this Escort gt I'm looking at. WOOHOO, it's on. Sheez I need help.

i never really thought of it until i joined this forum but the more i read about it, the more i'd like to do it.
problem is, here in Australia, i have a feeling i'd need an engineer's certificate to make the vehicle legally compliant. i'd rather get a 2nd car eventually that i can do this to, instead of using my soon to be daily driver.
with the price of fuel these days, and the expense of running the LTD as a daily driver, i would like to minimize any potential downtime on the Festiva in the form of police taking the car off me for not being legal.
