Pu241, don't worry, I'll never be putting 500 pounds of anything in that car... the most it will haul is my sorry butt and maybe a dozen boxes of pizzas The festy is still my good car, but a 50MPG 3 cyl with ac will be a much nicer pizza car... not to mention that fact that 185/70 13s are standard (will prolly fit some decent 15s at some point) and it has IRS... plenty of handling too. But the 120 horse festy is still my powerhouse  Besides now when people look at my festiva and ask when I'm going to get a REAL car, I can show them a pic of the Daihatsu and explain that the festiva IS my real car :lol:No festiva for me ATM...

Plus, the Festiva will go further in the mountains than the 44 gallon behemoth.
Festiva's back seat is far superior to Metro's backseat. Festivas stay away from mechanic's repair shops a lot better than Metros do too. Whatever money Metro saves on gas, gets turned over to the mechanic plus a lot more.Last edited by litesong; 08-24-2008, 05:42 PM.

Actually miatas aren't too aerodynamic, despite their sleek appearance. Not to say they don't look smooth and aerodynamic, but I believe I saw a comparison once showing that the miata (with headlights *cough cough airbrakes cough cough* open) had almost twice the drag of a scion xB... so looking boxy or aerodynamic doesn't necessarily mean a car is or isn't... with that said, a festy probably has higher drag than a refrigerator, and looks the part, lol not that thats a bad thing though, and yes I agree, hatches should be boxyNo festiva for me ATM...

Other than the OBVIOUS bias that is here on the FORDFESTIVA.COM site I agree with MeeMo about the Tardis(Awesome SCIFI reference btw). I am 6'8" tall and about 275lbs (about 125kilograms for you metric heads) and I LOVE the spacious interior in the Festiva's. My friends still have a hard time believing that my care has more room than their full sized cars! I fit better in my festive, shifter and all, than most sedans and even some trucks.89' Maroon and black Festiva LX with a sunroof. :alien:

Yea I agree on the interior room.
I'm 6'2 400 pounds. I fit in the festiva better. Its more like a van or truck seating position compared to the metro. Were you sit low in it.

For forum help Ford Festivas are alot better, all the people on Team Swift are pretty arrogant.Current cars:
1993 Ford Festiva 5-Speed - Festiclese III - Cousin of the Banhammer - "The Jalopnik Car"
1984 Toyota Cressida - 2JZGE Swap, Turbocharged.
2013 Mazda Mazda2 - Exhaust and Wheels (the daily)
2002 Toyota Tundra - V6/Auto/2WD - The Tow Vehicle.

Well, I don't see any reason to say anything other than Festiva. Sure we're gonna be bias here, but if we didn't have such a site to be bias in, would it really have been such a great car that was made? I personally really don't like the competition, and don't like their looks any. I like boxy vehicles, besides they're more practical. Sure they get a few less mpg, but how many of us have swapped less fuel efficient engines in anyways? I do love the mpg I get though. If my B6T Festiva project was a completed 300hp Geo for the same $ I wouldn't have considered it, just not my thing.
