OK. I'm sure this has been discussed before so don't throw anything at me please. Could someone tell me what the difference in the model designations are?? Such as L, LX, GL and so on. Are there different models available in different years?? Thanks.

What's the difference between the Narrow body side mouldings and the Wide body side mouldings?

I'm guessing the first one is the thin molding version, and the other one is the wide version...

they made a lot of subtle changes over the years

                1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

My '90 has wide side molding. That is it's titled as a '90. The date of manufacture is 12/28/89 though. The last six digits in the VIN show it to be the 127786th one built.
I don't know if that number is for the year or for the entire production run. Anyone know?

my guess would be the entire production run,

i think this is neat, my 300ZX's last 6 digits are 000362

My mistake, your right the 88-90 had wide moldings. I corrected it.

It may have been a mid year switch then. My 90 L plus has wide ones.
