  • For Crying Out Loud!!!!

I just finished replacing my clutch and trans(Much thanks to Will "elcamino1" and Dennis for their help, I could not have done it on my own), the next day after getting it home from the shop I went to the store for my mom and the ball joint breaks off. I knew it would happen, but I was hoping to change this weekend. I got it home and after the neighbors heckled me for having it towed twice in a 24 hour period, the bolt broke on the control arm and I can't get to it to fix it...suffice it to say that now I am a little peeved. I guess I just feel a little depressed and need a place to vent before I figure out how to fix this lovely little lemon I bought. *sigh*

Even the worst lemons are fun to throw at people.

I know that doesn't help, but once every part is new, you won't have to fix it any more. (for a while)

That probably doesn't help ether though.

    Sorry.

At least you didn't get hurt! :thumbleft: :thumbright:

It's not a lemon Ogre...she was just neglected for many years, and now that she knows she has a good owner that will take care of her, she's letting loose. Good luck with it. Hope all goes well with the repair.

are you talking about the pivot bolt in the frame? If so, I had that happen a few years ago. I took a punch and whacked it till the bolt and nut detached itself from inside the frame. I then was able to reach a finger up inside the frame and hold a nut in place while I started the new bolt. I used a lock washer so once it started to get tight I did not have to worry about finding a way to hold the nut from turning. It has been like that for years now.

OK, sorry didn't see this sooner, pre-ocuppation on my part in another thread of limited value to anyone.
Anyway, get us better discription, and pics if you can, also start now spraying it with PB blaster.
This will help greatly in removal.

I started to do just that & told him to spray it everyday. Then he came over for the weekend...
