alright fellas
just be me my first car and its a festiva
and of course i got some questions

1. how much is a fender and how hard are they to come by
minding you this is a 93 festiva l
color doesnt matter and preferibly no rust

2.how much would it cost me to do a motor swap with a motor under like 15k miles on it
the one i bought has at least 197 on it (speedo broke) and i was wondering how hard and how much this would run me

3. i need a wiper motor or maybe just a switch....prices?????

4. and finally i need to fix my speedo
i think it needs a new gauge cluster cause the mileage hasnt change since we drove it home

any info is great and any cheap parts are better!!!

1.) Try your local Junk Yards, then hit up Ebay.
2) If you can do it yourself, just the cost of the engine, parts, etc.
If not, (all of above) + $800-$1200 labor, fees, whatnot, etc.
If you are GOING to do a motor swap FOR SURE, you may as well find a B6 or BP
(There are plenty of threads already on the subject, use the search tool at the top)
3.)Ebay
4.)JY then Ebay.

Where at? I'm in Elyria and there's a few on the east side of Cleveland.

Speedos are gear driven.

Are you sure your speedo's broken? Maybe it's just the cable? Fenders are around 25$ CAN around where I live I think. And as far as motor swaps go, if I were you, I'd go with a B6 SOHC. Cheap, more power, and plug and play.

Depending on where in NE Ohio you are there are several cars in junk yards that will have the parts you are looking for. As for the engine they last well into 300,000 plus miles when taken care off. It will be hard to find a engine with less then 15k unless you get a new one from Festiva Motorsport.

I have an extra wiper motor, a speedo gear also, but the tab that goes to the trans is broken off. It could be your speedometer cluster though. The last car that i bought there was a factory sticker in the jamb saying they replaced it at 11,547 miles.

I'd do the b6-e swap as well not complicated, can be completed in a day, engine weights 15lbs less, 20 more hp. If your wanting something with 15k on it you'd beter rebuild it.
