that's the third repaint of the 1991/92 Mach III showcar that Ford circulated to gage public reaction to the upcoming 1994 Mustang. It was originally red.

That was my guess...didn't the 3 prototypes burn up in a fire during transport? I know my dad has some original sketches, and pics of the clay models and whatnot.

So this was the before the 94? I assumed it was the follow up to that snce I didn't see it until 99. ops: my bad. Anyways, since you answered that so quickly, do you know where this picture was taken?
not to my knowledge. Last I saw, at least one of them was at the Henry Ford museum, about 3-4 years ago. Used to be in the 'Spirit of Ford' building, until it was closed in 2004.

yup, originally shown in 91/92. Pic could be from one of many public appearances on the new car show circuit. It toured for almost 10 years.

It's scary to think how much of the old memorabilia from the design studios just wound up in the trash. I'm a designer and I would kill to have some of those original renderings...nowadays everyone sketches on a computer screen!
I think we did it all. Are you talking about the theater with the moving seats and you go through a vehicle asssembly line and then test track? It was one of my favorite parts.
