  • The Batstiva is dead

My beloved Batstiva may be not long for this world. She has suffered several, serious malfunctions at once. Her engine is nearly completely shot, the gear shift went through the floor yesterday, and have found 2 previously unknown areas on her undercarriage that are suffering serious rust problems. Was going to drop a v6 in her, not sure if I can do that now, and have to buy a dependable daily driver at the same time. Will have to see. May be time to bow our heads for a moment of silence.

Dumb thieves go to prison, smart ones go to work for the Government.

    Let the hoarding begin!!

leave her in the backyard, buy a reliable daily beater, do the cheap/free stuff to the stiva (like grinding out and patching the rusted areas), then when you have money again you can work on putting the V6 in without having to worry about how you're getting to and from work.

I agree with JerseyJay. Stash the Festiva in a safe spot, get a beater car for driving, and fix the Festiva when you can.

I junked my 93Festiva after a fatal inhalation of water, and I seriously regret not stashing it until I could lay hands on a new engine.

STASH THE BATSTIVA! Don't give up on her yet!

Find a daily driver, preferably another Festiva, and see what you can do later.

If you have the space, STASH!
