Theres a fellow local here in NC that is parting out a car with the mx3 engine in it.

I wasn't sure it would bolt up in a Festiva.

May have to take another look.

i looked at a few in the yard before. I think the biggest problem would be that monstrous intake manifold clearing the firewall. I never took any measurements but it looks like it sticks back farther from the cylinder head than the intake on my BP, and I had to cut the firewall for clearance.
              No festiva for me ATM...

My red car used to have that head/intake installed on a B6T (i didn't own it at that point though) and it cleared the firewall with a G25 tranny, i'd like to find one of those intakes someday

Look similar to my Merc Capri's engine (I have an NA one) so its probably just the Mazda version of that. The left side is a timing cover on mine for about 2 inches, so its not EXACTLY the same but damn close.

In the very first pix the intake manifold causes the firewall to vibrate.

I heard somewhere a Capri 1.6 will fit and clear the firewall
                            easily without banging the firewall.

Has anyone installed the Capri intake to this 1.6 Mazda MX-3 motor?

Any other tips or comments welcomed.

Wil is trying to sell his blue Festiva. I thought he said it was listed on EBay too...

Except I don't think he had THAT engine in. When I went to look at it, it was a reuglar B6D engine, similar looking to the BP.
