    New Engine

    Im am considering fixing up a Festiva to drive to costa rica this winter for a surfing trip so I would want it to be really reliable. Is it possible to buy a brand new engine to bolt in and if so, about how much would it be for one?

    Festiva Motor Sport may still have new B6 crate engines in stock. I think they were around $1000.

      does anyone know what the average highway mileage is if this engine set up all stock with a 5 speed tranny?

        would a turbo increase gas mileage and does anyone know how much the complete turbo setup usually cost for b6?

          a turbo wouldn't increase milage, it would only hurt it. If you want to turbo a b6 then you should just get a b6t.

          with my b6 I'm getting just over 40mpg.
