  • How long have you owned your festiva ?

15 1/2 years for me and my main squeeze. Bought it in March of 1993. Told the wife at the time (same wife different time ) if we could keep these cars ( we bought two at the same time )going till the year 2000, we'd save a lot of money. Now almost 16 years later my festiva is as good as ever. Nearly 190,000 trouble fee miles before it gained retirement status. Its still ready to roll anywhere, anytime. Amazing ! It will be in St Louis, Missouri on 10/18.

If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

i've owned my Green BP car for 5 years and a month, time flies!!

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Got my '92 in June 1996 with 36,000 miles for $4,995. So, a little over 12 years. It is now at 99,450 miles. It's hardly broken in.

            Cheers, Paul S

Had mine for 7 years. It was xmas time, my son-in-law towed it over to my house, hid it behind my garage and when we were passing out presents, he threw me the keys and said it was mine if i wanted it. All it needed was two new cv shafts and ran for 5 years after that with no problems. Second day i had it i cut it in two and made small truck out of it. I loveeeeeeeeeeee my gray ghost. Only 650 more miles and it goes over 200,000 original miles. Everything is still original except the missing back of it.

My current Aqua 93 L I've owned for 5 years, but its been back on the road for only 4 years. It had 168,000 one owner miles, but now has 35,000 more miles since major overhaul. My previous Festy was a 88 I bought 7 years ago from my daughter in law it had around 160,000 when I got it. It now has 210,000 and has been driven by my step son for past two years.
I can remember looking at a new Festiva's in 91 or 92 and contemplating buying one,but my wife and I decided not to take on any debt at that time. Overall they have been good, reliable cars these past 7 years.
