Ice racers tend to spend time stuck in snow banks needing to be removed. Last season there was no visibility in the first lap of one race, with the cars close together and no wind blowing to clear the spray. In a sequence of S curves I had to guess where the next turn was, and I guessed wrong. As soon as I turned the air was clear and I found myself aimed straight at a 6 foot bank, about 12 feet away, with my foot all the way into it.
