sorry for the dumb question, but what is a roller cam, and what are the advantages to them? i've heard that they were in the aspire and not the festiva, but what is the difference?
Thanks!

It is more aggressive, but less friction from the roller yields a better gain on paper? Is that why the aspire's engine is rated slightly higher? I brought all this up in the hijacked b6 manifold thread, trying to figure out if fitting a b6 with aspire's upper valvetrain is worth it. Since I do not already have a b6 in hand my conclusion is no.

Did you ever get an answer to this question? I have the B6 head currently with solid rockers, I have the Aspire valvetrain sitting on the shelf and I have the FMS cam on its way.
