  • Hit a #&$$ deer!!!!

On my drive home last night hit a flippen deer and dented the hood and broke the grille of my trusty Aqua Festiva! My Aspire brakes slowed the impact from 55-60mph, I couldn't avoid him though, the bumper took the impact, probably broke his legs, the body smashed in hood dead center and destroyed the grille. Core support is pushed in some too. I HATE DEER!! All you hunters go kill a bunch for me!!! I just might take up hunting, but not with my Festiva!! I'd like to sue the Missouri Deptment of Conservation for not keeping these menaces to us drivers lower. Well guess this is good excuse to go "pick-n-pullen" this weekend, Marcus you up to it???

Sorry to hear that. It does not sound like all that much damage for a deer hitting our pop can cars though, you must have really hauled that thing down with the Aspire brakes. I hit a rabbit and did much worse damage to the frame rails.

No, say its not so. Whats with mother natures wrath on festivas lately ? What a shame. You take such good care of that car. You know you can get a brand new grill ( older style ) for about $5 and $16 shipping. Some people like the style better anyway. Ive got a hood, you'll have to refinish it but its straight with a just a little rust near the leading edge. You can take care of that. I was saving it for an occasion such as this. It yours if you want it. See link below ( come with clips too )

You got me! A VW ice race rabbit. He spun and I avoided him the first time and then someone else punted him in front of me. Dang!

Anyhow, sorry about your accident, man, it is scary to come up on an animal like that. We came a few feet from a moose on two occasions, and it sure gets your attention. It still sound like you fared pretty well all things considered, hoods and grills are pretty easy to come by at pic n pull., if you have one nearby.

Geez, are we in another one of those cycles where Mother Nature is wiping out Festivas? A guy down the road from me smacked one in his Festy the other night. He's not sure what he's going to do with the car yet, but the damage sounds about the same as yours. Hmmm.
