Went down to an auto parts store to get some antifreeze and a radiator cap for the Dak. There is a white 92 Festiva that has been sitting in the same place behind the shop for about three years. Missing a corner light, and both taillights (no biggie there, still have the ones from the Batstiva) I do know the history of the car before it ended up there. It was my neighbors car, and she got rid of it because it was blowing oil (vc gasket, also no biggie). She apparently offered it to me first, via the wife, who never mentioned it to me until the car was gone. Anyway, talked to the guy in the shop, and he says he's not sure he wants to get rid of it. So, I asked him if he had any real plans for it, to which he said not really. But, he said if I took it, he would atleast like to get for it what he paid my neighbor. Hmm, think I can come off of a hundred for it. Gonna go back tomorrow with cash in hand, so we will see. Keeping my fingers crossed. The good news, there are no large trees near where it is parked. (Sorry Festyboy, but now you've got me looking for trees everywhere) Should know for sure by tomorrow evening.

Not yet, but he called and wants me to stop by and see him tomorrow. Assuming this is good news, I would guess if he didn't want to get rid of it, he'd have told me that on the phone.

Should be in my driveway tomorrow. Sans the engine, which was apparently in worse shape than my neighbor thought. Apparently driven low on oil long enough to trash the motor. Course, this means I'll be needing to decide which engine will go back into it. Hmmmm...Any suggestions?
