  • Need clean 1993 Festy moved Seattle to Miami

Anybody interested in moving one of my clean (absolutely no rust) 1993 5-speed Festivas with a/c from Seattle to Miami? I'm working in Miami for a year or three and there just aren't any decent Festies down here.

Ideal departure would be Wednesday 11/26 (day before Thanksgiving) when I'll be back in Seattle for the day.

Awfully short notice. I would love to move it for you, but I don't have the time. Have you thought about just paying a shipping company, probably cost the same or less than paying someone to drive all that way.

id be down if it didnt have to be the day before thanksgiving. but i also agree with Gforcefd that it would probably be much cheaper to just ship it than pay all of the associated expenses for someone else to drive it for you.

Free roadtrip/sightseeing vacation opportunity. If i were 10 years and 2 less children younger id jump on it. I shipped a truck from Maryland, it wasnt all that bad. It IS cheaper than the fuel to drive that far.

A Festiva Madness member I think is in your state for a few days. Maybe he will key in on driving it back here to North Carolina.

I am sure we could get it the rest of the way to Miami.

I've been given prices of approximately $1200 "port to port" from shipping companies.

If you'll be working/staying on the coastal are, wrap it in a warm blanket and store it in WA for the year. I'd be afraid of that morning salt slime getting a grip on an otherwise pristine car. I'm speaking from experience with a 65 Mustang in Cape Canaveral & Kennedy Space Center.

What if we had a set of drivers from state to state? Wouldn't that be something?!

A bunch of Festiva lovers driving this car from one corner of the country to the other! Get it to the state line and swap it over to another driver in the next state.

I'd be open for some driving time....

                        uship

I've had cars shipped all over the country. Your best bet is to check out www.Uship.com it's kinda like the ebay of shipping. List your shipment as soon as possible though. It's free to list shipments then people and companies bid cost to ship it.
1989 B6T Festiva...... it is a constant work in progress.

Posted on uShip.com for 14 days! Thanks for the lead.

It came back with one "Ship It Now" response from an outfit called DAS for about $900. Uship has quite a few negative feedback items re DAS. Perhaps this to be expected when shipping cars cross-country???

With the price of fuel being high at this time its not going to be cheap to get a car shipped cross county over 3000 miles!
