  • My top 6 questions on festiva's

1.How many Festiva's were produced in the U.S.? How many known swapped B6T's , B6's and Shoguns are there in existence?

    2. Has anyone survived a bad crash in there festiva and how safe are they? ( I like to think of it like riding a motorcycle always alert and cautious about other drivers).

    3. What is the fastest known 1/4 time that a B6T has run? and how many horse power?

    4. What is the rarest festiva year, color, and model?

    5. What is or was the highest mileage festiva?

    6. Is there anywhere that I can get the decal running down the side rear window and up to the headlight. The nike swoosh or check mark looking one.

I know someone's going to tell me to do the research, but after all this is a forum where people discuss festiva's and you don't have to reply if you don't want to.
1989 B6T Festiva...... it is a constant work in progress.

Wow big questions. well unfortunately i dont know the answer to just about all your questions. But as for number 5 there is a festiva video on youtube that shows a festiva hitting 500,000miles.

hmm it be cool if we had a festiva registry to help keep track of numbers, may want to bring it up to a mod. anywys i think the fastest festiva in the 1/4 was a b6t i think it was Fast06 was his name? most horsepower was celicagt's built bpt 350hp but it had traction problems and i dont think he was able to get a good 1/4 time and as far as shoguns i think theres posibly 3 clones 1 comeplete and 2 in the process, and you have the orginal sho's too

I believe I just read on here in another forum that there were six Shoguns, with one body kit extra?

At one Ohiostiva we had a 504K mile red Festiva show up.

We've had some fairly bad crash stories and all have survived. This doesn't mean too much since anyone in a bad crash who didn't survive would not be posting their story!

There has been some concern for the strength of Festiva front seat mounts or the seats themselves failing in a rear end collision.

The stripe decal is called the "hockey stripe." Do a search. There may be someone reproducing them.

Don't know the rarest Festiva. One of the most coveted would be the '90LX.

I would thing that the Festiva GT-A would be the rarest, being that there were only like 300 of them ever made.

Or a festiva sport, or a festy with power steering.

I saw a festy in a jy with 359k miles

I think black is the rarest color.

As far as fastest festy check out this link its stickyied at the top of drag racing sub forum but I'll post the link anywho

              7 < 300 :thumbleft:

There were 7 Shoguns produced. 6 are still in existance. I think it was #2 that was destroyed.

I had a guy blow a red light and hit me near head on at over 50MPH. I walked away with a bruise from the seat belt and that was it.

for how good are they in a crash. i was rearended by a sebring jxi doing 70, spun my car into a ditch. tore the seatbelt in half and went into the drivers side door, which my 5 foot 8 150ish pound self pushed 8 inches out of its frame, glass everywhere as the hatch and drivers side window both shattered. i walked away with some deep cuts and deep bruises.
longevity, it comes down to maintenance. the cars were made cheaply, and that little 1.3 has to work extremly hard most of the time to push the car around. with frequent oil changes and a close eye on bearing and such, theyll last a very long time. my first festiva had about 430k abusive miles on it when i bought it and was near 500k when i sold it cause the brakes wouldnt work and id melted the bearing on the front. guy i sold it to fixed it and i think he still drives it. i dont know much about speed, i have enough fun with it slow.
is not sposed ta do that...

I believe the Yahoo list has the production figures for Festivas. I don't remember how it was broken down.

i can sort of answer two of them:

                            1) "How many festiva's were produced in the usa?" None!

                            2) crashes: In 1992, I hit the side of a tractor-trailer going about 40 and I was fine... my Festiva was totaled. The seat belts held, seats did not dismount themselves. (car was re-built, and is still with me as the DeathEgg!)
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.
