overheating?

i read a lot of peoples posts on here about their car overheating. i live in mississippi (100* summer heat) and have my rad fan on a switch. i havnt used it in over a year and i never overheat. even when im sitting in taco bell drive thru it dont overheat or realy get hot without my fan. i guess my festy was born for the heat.

it is all about the thermostat.
i got my festiva with a 165 and it never got warm.
then came winter and it still never got warm.
now i have a 195 and good in winter but a little hot in the summer for my liking .
other than a swap every season i would stick with a 180.

Maybe it's abnormaly windy where you live?

I also have my rad fan on a switch and I only have to use it when it gets over 80 and I'm sitting still after driving hard. Most of the time it just stays off.
