  • If this site were shut down.

I have been a member of a number of groups back in days of snail mail.

Large numbers of us were able to have meets all over the country.

I have met a number of great people here and would like to make sure we could all stay connected. My only contact with some of them is here. Some I have numbers for and personal e-mail address.

So with that said, where should members of this group go to meet back up online?

    Dean

I hope Brian changes his mind! I am not smart enough to handle this site or I would offer to do it! I think Brian did a great job and hope he does not give up on all of us for a few of us messing up along the way.

I don't think even if Brian leaved the site would shut down, since its hosted by a 3rd party, Brian could just give the passwords and account information in the hands of someone to hold or control until he decides to return to the addiction if he does. So hopefully even if Brian leaves (which I hope doesn't happen) the site will more than likely continue. You already have a good group of moderators that should be able to at least maintain the site till something more permanent can be esstablished. I wish we could rip the entire database of the forum on to CD's just so people could have them just in case.

Brian is a good guy, even if he were to throw in the towel there should be no reason that he wont pass the torch to someone else.

We all respect Brian & what he's done with FF.com, and hope he can get things sorted out and continue with the site. Dean is just being pragmatic and suggesting we consider a contingency in case something way outside anybody's expectation happens. Back in The Previous Millennium I was a webmaster & I've known more than one hosting service to go "belly up" overnite and then POOF... websites are instantaneously No More!

Many of us are new to the Festiva world and don't yet know that many Festiva owners in our own state, much less other states! I'd really be disappointed to potentially lose contact with so many cool & knowledgeable people.

Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

If the site disapeared we would have no choice but to host Festiva Festival 09 in Brians front yard.

Well I wanted to let everyone know....I finally got to talk with Brian. He is doing well and feeling much more relaxed. After a long talk he assured me that in no way will anyone have to worry about the site closing down. He said even if he was to call it quits he would not just close the site down. He knows there are plenty of people that would be willing to keep the site running.
Still not sure when we may see him back though....(sigh)
