So I am thinking of taking a road trip by myself in the spring time. Does anyone have any recommendations for a festiva road trip? Probably the eastern half of the USA.
If you go far enough south you're welcome to come and see me and Melissa. We have a spare room if ya need a place to stay, and plenty of festiva parking. Plus if you give me enough advance warning I can take a little time off from work (I love working for the state ) and we can head up to the dragon's tail for some spirited mountain driving. Its only a couple hours from us, and definitely worth the drive, and there's lots of nice scenery along the way as well.
I have always wanted to do the Dragon's tail, so I may take you up on that. I want to take like 4-5 days pack my festiva, and just enjoy the drive. Probably no radio so just the wind and the road. I love road trips.
I would like to have a B6 in the festiva by spring, but we will see, it would make that road even more fun.

Sounds like you need a Harley.LOL If ya want a long road trip some time, try the Blackhills of South Dakota.
Love the Black Hills. Wife and i took 4 day trip from Denver here and hit Devils Tower, and Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, and then stayed at the base there in Rapid City since im retired Air Force and then stopped at a small campground coming home and rented a cabin with a small stream flowing by and caught some small trout. Was one of the best vacations we ever had.

That's pretty cool. I work on Ellsworth. Spent my last year in the Air Force there, Tanker Crew Chief. Now I'm an operator at the Water Reclaimation Plant. Next time out, give me a heads-up, and we'll get together.

Did the Dragon's Tail two years ago with my nephew from Jersey. Woo Wee, nuttin like zippin along on a Hayabusa, dodgin cars, bikes and Rubberneckers. Also spent some time on the Blueridge Parkway. Love that area, nothing but green for miles.
Or any number of other meets that would love to see the car.
