Cool, I'll have to take a pic of Old Red once it hits 250,000 or 300,000. Right now it's got 211,000 on it.

I keep buying rusty parts festys with 200K+miles, the engines have been running like new. Oil changes and minor maintanance, there's no end to these little buggers!
                    Because....45 MPG.

Mine is original engine. It has had no work done on it at all. Now on the tranny i reved it too high in 2nd gear and it broke the speedometer gear. When i tried to take it out the gear and little shaft fell out and dropped down into the tranny. I drove it around to see what would happen and for while everything was ok. Then when i pulled to stop sign i tried to put it back into 1st gear it wouldn't go. I tried to force it a little and it put the gear thru the bottom of tranny. I did get it home and the gear and little shaft were sticking out of the bottom of the tranny. All the fluid was already out of it. To fix it i made the hole a little bit bigger, took rag and wiped it down real good, took carburator cleaner and sprayed inside and around bottom real good. I let it dry real good. I took a piece of aluminum and some jb weld and jb welded the piece of aluminum to the tranny plus i took and put a small screw in it to hold it in place. I made sure none of jb weld got into the hole since the shifters were right there. I let it dry for couple days. Went out and ground everything as smooth as possible and filled it with fluid. Not a drop came out. Its been like that for about 7 months now. Like i said, no engine work at all, but i have put all new wheel bearings in, new brakes, front rotors, tie rods, ball joints, sway bar bushings, front struts and gas filter. I change the oil every six months (for five years) and it comes out clean as it went in. I use 5w-30 synthetic oil and no addititives other than fuel injector cleaner in gas tank. It runs like a top. Im now down to about 170 miles from the 200,000 mark. Im getting 40-45mpg
