  • Hybridization FestivaL Car?

I've since sorta-kinda understanding the Honda miniature* technology from reading about one somewhere; have wondered about maybe trying to scavenge enough of the electric parts of a hybrid to use on the rear axle as an "around town" option while open roading on fossil fuels as per usual.(an "up yours!" take on electric vs. fossil?)(at 57...)

    Has anyone else such festantasy?

*The first time I drove my '91 Festiva L 5-speed; test driving with the previous owner out on a country road where we were able to exceed 50 mph; I'd felt as if in some sort of luxurious huge Mercedes sedan, so refined and advanced a vehicle compared to my three previous rides.(most recent a '64 step side 1/2 ton Chevy w/327 & truck granny-geared 4/speed w/huge dune-buggy tires & white spoked rims, vaguely primered over rust-rot potential; a '75 $600 1/2 ton "shorty" Chevy panel van, half fixed up to live in; and my vanguard, the '66 VW square-back I'd lived out of a dozen years more or less; four engine overhauls & one trans-axle swap, managed by me!)

So whenever I come upon a little tiny Honda hybrid; I'm overwhelmed and satisfied at what a huge monstrosity I motor in...yet also smirk at their obviously investing in product I'd have to wait a couple decades to be able to afford myself-assuming all the variables of the market and whether not I'd again be dumped by a lover where that would advantage me enough to be able to save for my next means of LOCO-motion.
