that would be to much work to do, if u know anything about off road suspension and have looked under the festiva u would know that it would take all of only one day to raise the festiva up, the suspension is so simple and with some quick fabrication and shocks u could have a festiva that sat a good 5 or 6 inches higher and had long travel suspension. I have plans already all made up just need another festiva. Even have the off-road tires off a polaris ranger lined up to use on the stock rims. I really want to make a rally festiva that could go off jumps or i could take to the dunes.
actually, I know quite a bit about suspension. Your idea will work fine for offroad, but will not be very streetable. The geometry will be awkward, and you'll be experiencing alot of bumpsteer. And combining the two vehicles really wouldn't that much work for me.

I was at the neighborhood shade-tree (independent) garage last week when a guy came by with a trailer. Had an S10 and a Tracker wanting to sell one or both. The tracker was running but rough. He was asking $400 for the little 4WD. A project like this didn't even cross my mind. It definitely isn't too far fetched as a Woodward Dream Cruise eye catcher.
You may think this is crazy, but the jeep flares on those photoshopped pics looks pretty killer on the festiva portion. Might be a great source for fender flares......
