No, I just hate to not use it and then feel guilty when I do...so far three one or so mile drives on Sundays...enjoyable but will feel guilty if it goes over 100K

What are you kidding? These cars were meant to be driven. Its not like youre driving some rare Shelby or something.:sad11: Taken care of these cars have been giving their owners 500k plus miles.

I'm with MONSOON on this, cars are meant to be driven. Whenever Old Red's back on the road I'm gonna keep racking up the miles on it and hopefully break the 500k mark someday, I'm at 211k right now

I had 234,000 on my 88 LX in 1999, would be up there now if I had it. The seats still looked new too. It did not burn or leak oil, but the coil went on it and the mechanic killed it by adding WATER to "clean out carbon" and busted the engine or broke a piston....so I sold it...after i PAID him $35.00 to diagnose it....I was so dumb!

Wow... I would've been really angry! I don't think that I'll ever take my car to the shop, unless I'd absolutely have too, or to get new tires put on the wheels. It's been fun doing everything myself on my first car project with Old Red

I paid too much for it! Only had two inquirees...no followup....they are hard to find especially with the low miles.
