  • Anybody own a Pinto too?

Just curious what other Festiva owners liked the Pinto. There is a cult following for them too.

I like em. My folks had one back in the day. I always thought it would be cool to get one and put a small block in it.

They were fun to drive for some reason, mine was a 73 Pinto Runabout 2.0 automatic and my whole family loved driving it.

I owned a Pinto wagon about 15yrs ago. '74 I think. It had the 2.8L V6, auto, A/C and was yellow with wood grain side panels. Very little rust.......the trans went out and I sold the motor for $100 and junked the rest. Wish I still had it! I do have a white '71 hatch back that is rust and dent free (TX car). It belonged to my best friend in High School and we installed a stock 289 2V and C4 trans. He was killed in a car wreck (in a Shelby Charger) in October of '87 and his parents gave me the Pinto. The V8 conversion was not the best due to our young age, but someday I plan on installing a 347 stroker w/351C 2V heads and a C4.

I had a Rust-colored 1977 Pinto....the best thing I can say about it was that I got some great experience working on it....it was the first car I ever bought with my own money, though, and I do have fond memories of it.

My uncle wrapped one around a telephone pole - I think he even fixed it, so he must have liked it. I haven't really looked at one in years.

I owned several Pintos including a V8 Pinto! I had a Crusin wagon one also. The V8 went 10.40's on nitrous!

OH MAN! I love the pinto!! I've always wanted a baby blue one with a sunroof and full glass rear hatch.

I'd love to have one today! I often ebay and craigslist search for them.

Why yes I did Fresh....and I repeated the feat many times over! Least I think I did, I can't remember. Since I can't remember, I'm guessing I did.
