Well, I was driving by, seen a lady sitting on the porch and before I could turn around a SUV turned in loaded with presents so I didn't want to interrupt their Christmas. It's still sitting there in the same spot with leaves blown around the wheels, so i know it's been sitting there for a few months.

I'm thinking about offering a starting $300-400 depending on if it's running because it's a clean aqua 90+. No spoiler so its probably not a sport, but those can be taken off. I'm thinking it's an L, but who cares it's still a Festiva right?

You wouldn't believe the amazing deals I've found just asking.

I once knocked on a door about an 85 Chevy sprint, bought it for $40 dollars (yes, that's forty!) put a battery in it, drove it over to a friend's place who needed an ecobox, sold it to him for a good deal (for both of us) at $600 bucks. That was for two hours work!

I also once bought a 71 VW westafalia for $200 in near new condition, with a new engine not yet installed, installed it in his driveway, drove it to Minnesota (having an adventure in route) and selling it for $2 grand.

Lev covered nearly everything. I've been knocking on doors for years (started with said VW vans in the 90's...) it's true that all they can say is no. Occassionally you will get a butthead who will use it as a reason to make you feel bad and/or foolish. Just blow it off as best you can. If a person can't see it as a friendly inquiry into something they have, screw em!

The ony other thing I might add beyond Levitan is, occassionally you might find someone who gets a sense of power from having something you (or others) want. They will jerk you around, knowng full well they have no intention of selling it to you, or if they do, for a crazy amount. I had a guy let me test drive him to the liquer store (his lic. was revoked) buy him a jug of wine, drive him home to then say, it's not for sale.

These annoying folks can be spotted quickly and are just weak and looking for any power they can find.

      Good luck eh!

Well I stopped by monday and asked and I go to look at it saturday in detail. I'm taking $200 cash to offer. Couldn't see inside so I'm not sure if it's an auto or 5 speed. I hope it's a standard. Outside looks decent. Hopefully I'll be in the Aqua Festiva Owners Club soon.

Stopped by and they weren't home. Left my number and looked through the windows to see what all it had. It's a 5 speed(thank goodness) and has AC. Might have power mirrors and a tach but not 100% because i didn't want to be staring in the window in case they showed up. I did notice it had an aftermarket "fart cannon" on it as well as a few motorcycle exhaust stickers like Yoshimura and Muzzy. At least he has a sense of humor.

Hope you have better luck than V8 is having talking to the owner. He took me by to see the yellow festiva he is trying to rescue yesterday. He's left several notes and talked to the husband, but it's the wife's car and she is never there.

i saw a fiat in a field about 50 feet from road, drove by and it reminded me of a clown car. I was on my way to do some maintenance work in a ladies house. When i left, i looked at the car again, saw a lady in yard, drove up and asked her about it. Seems the lady that owned it had just sold the property to them and moved to Florida. I called her, asked what she wanted. She said it was her late husbands and hadnt been licensed for 24 years. It had the sucicide doors on it with handles on front of door. I bought it for 50.00. Did some body work on it, put it on ebay and sold it for 600.00 to a guy in calif and next day he had a truck here to haul it away. It was a cute little car tho. By the way anomoly, if it helps, get a tear in your eyes if they say no, may help, lol.
