  • How many of you guy would.......

I have the chance to get an 04 Evo for $500. Unheard of, right? The car has been totaled but the interior is complete and perfect. Evos come with some big Brembos, Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel, 17'' Enkeis, and of course the saucy drivetrain. I

I went to check the car out today and when I started it up it started blowing out oil under the engine. That was the only reason I didn't pick it up today. I might still get it and go through with parting it out. I could tear the engine down and sell the head and stuff.

How many of you guys would pick it up?

I'm with Carbon, jump on it! If you have the space and the time, part it out. I'm guessing there are, conservatively, at least, a couple thousand dollars to be made. Bet you have the buying price back in one week. From then on, it's all profit. How much are those seats worth by themselves...several hundred? Wheels? Tires? Radio? Glass? Doors? Switches? Cluster? Interior panels? Headlights? Taillights? Bumper or two?Jack and spare? Is the motor repairable? Tranny? Brakes? Radiator? Air Conditioning? Alternator? BAttery? Starter? Cruise control? Struts? Gas Tank? Fuel Pump? Alot of money to be made. Then scrap the shell for a few bucks more.

You can probably get $500 for the front seats alone.

Yeah, it might fall through but the deal is looking likely right now.

Yeah I'm going to get it. I figured the oil might have been coming from the filter or the oil lines.

I would buy it in a heart beat. No checking with the wife or anybody else. Straight to the bank for cash and call to arrange to borrow a trailer. I would be tempted to fix it and drive it as a beater car. I don't care about body damage.

There is more than body damage lol. It would be tight to rebuild it but I want to get money, not spend it.

I can obviously see there is more than body damage. I was referring to fixing what was necessary to make it a driver.

From the way that front wheel is looking, there looks to be some frame damage. Remember urine isn't too hard to clean out of the seats.

A lot of fast money to be made there. Sell anything evo specific to the lancer crew. You should sign up to a lancer forum asap. Sell the rims 1 at a time to the evo dudes.
