  • FB71 and Pu241's Excellent Adventure

The Techno Recovery Team(TRT) has at this time all(I hope) returned to their respective abodes.
TRT started this mission at 11AM Sat Dec 27th we have returned victorious!
And some what tired after 3,000 plus miles of travel in something near 80 hours!

FB71 is on his final approach and should have reach safe haven as of this transmission.

Full details and pics to be provided later, after some R&R.

But before I go I must say a word of thanks to Tim and his family for providing shelter to two road weary warriors.:notworthy:
I did not relish another shower-less, sleepless night while moving at 70+ mph!

ok, quick synopsis of Operation "Black Rescue"...

I bought the remainder of DJ's parts and Techno from FestivaGTX a few months ago. I couldn't get to Texas till Xmas break to recover said items. Pu241 offered to assist me on my mission. We embarked this past Saturday at 1100 hours and concluded today at 1830 hours. The recovery of Techno was successful, however, Techno himself is literally a shell of his former self. Photographic documentation and a full report will follow in the next 24-48 hours

Glad you guys made it back safely!

It was awesome meeting you! My family (mom especially) really enjoyed having y'all stay the night, and if one or both of you are in the area again, my house is open to you.

I really enjoyed the thorough discussions of (among other things) biodiesel, women, and of course Festivas. Plus the shop manuals were a nice bonus. Thanks!

I can't wait for Techno to be back in action and look forward to updates. It's great knowing that piece of FF.com history is in good hands now.

                          -Tim
