  • 1992 festiva worth $350 or trade???

Ok so someone I know, knows someone who is selling a 1992 festiva he didnt give me much detail except the stuff listed here but he wants $350 obo or trade for a atv or dirtbike. I have a cheap $450 china quad that needs a battery but runs that he said he would be interested in.........so here are some pictures and details

    Good:
    New battery
    Newer tires
Sun roof (didnt know they had these?)
    Runs great
    All lights work
    Clean and clear title

    The bad:
RUST (i dont know how bad it really is like under the car)
the breaks dont work and need to be bled so it will have to be towed
has a valve cover leak BUT comes with a kit to fix it

i dont ride my quad much and im getting to big for it anyways (bought when i was 12 now 14)

So here are some pictures he sent me:

So I basically just want to see what you guys think, i mean I will have a good two or three years to fix if I got it but.....is it worth it

Also its about a hour away, but since its a festiva thats not a issue

Well if its not too rusty you can spend the next couple years learning to work on cars while fixing it up if your parents are Ok with it.

if that is the one on phoenix craigslist, it looks very rough. might not be a bad beater, but it looks too rusty to ever be worth fixing up.

You never know how bad it is till you look at it in person.. might just be mainly the back hatch..

you ought to at least go and peek at it

Yeah if you look at it in person, see how bad it is in front of the rear wheels, if it's rusty by the rear suspension beam mounting point I'd pass on it.

go look at it if you'd like to, but just from the pics you can see a good dent in the drivers fender, bad rust on the lower part of the drivers door, bad hatch rust, it needs brakes, ect. idk maybe its just me lol

By the reaction through email he seems like its only little rust but im not sure I asked for some pictures because it is about a hour and a half drive to look so if I can get some pictures and it isnt too rusty I definetly will get it, I cannot seem to find ANY festiva's in my area that are like $500 or less
