  • Mook, come in!!

I have a question for Mook (or anyone who knows about Mook's "HD" Festiva or someone who has done an HD motor swap). So here we go:

    1. What kind of mileage do you get with an HD motor like the one Mook used?
    2. How much difference in power and weight is there between the HD motor and a B3?
    3. I could be wrong about this but I heard that HD motors are all air-cooled- any problems with overheating?

With the price of gas being what it is, I've been contemplating the idea of buying a Festiva and, if it's more economical, performing an HD swap similar to Mook's.

I would appreciate any info anyone can get on this subject. Thanks!

you would have catastropihc overheating problems. a harley motor is not designed for sustained high power output. its an aircooled motor thats made for brief spurts of power use.
