  • bobstad@fordfestiva.com sticker idea?

What I was thinking about when I got a second

    fordfestiva.com

sticker; was to have a matching

    bobstad@

made by the Arcata, CA sticker, tee-shirt shop where the red on yellow

"YOGI W/HAREM"(Male Shivanist Pig) sticker was made.

    thus,

bobstad @fordfestiva.com(and an email address at the website)

What I was wondering is how hard it would be to have an option for a sticker to read with the person's member name?(or organization's...wonder if, and/or how many of those there are?)

Could this be done economically as a group?

That would cost me $20 to get set up, and since a one time only item sort of expensive,
which is why I've never gotten around to doing it.(I goofed and put my first fordfestiva.com sticker on the inside of my rear window thinking this was how I was supposed to apply it, which of course now is in reverse lettering to anyone not inside the car)

That way anyone seeing a sticker on a particular Festiva would be able to find threads or posts done by whomever is associated with that particular car.*(so an email could be sent in essence to the particular Festiva also...which might be a peculiar and/or interesting situation?)

*Leading of course to the inevitable standardization of Festivas as the car of choice for the planet; with all sorts of interesting spin-offs as the diversity of choice grew, like diesel semi-truck Festivas, fire truck Festivas, school bus Festivas, high mileage hybrid Festivas, electric Festivas, amphibious Festivas...a whole society built around our favorite car to bring lasting peace and prosperity to the planet; or, well sorta kinda, maybe.(with advantageous ramifications on the wrecking yard end of things a person could hope)...or, maybe not?

I had to put a space in front of all my bobstad @fordfestiva.com member name, or there would've been an email link.

    "bobstad@fordfestiva.com"(etc.)

      Hey Bobstad,
I have all my graphics made here. They are very reasonable and fast. You pick the font, the size, color, outline, an shading you want.

What is the point of doing this? It makes it look like you're giving an e-mail address, which is not valid anyways...

If you wanted to do something like that, you'd almost need a "i'm bobstad on" and then the ff.com decal.

This place does great, cheap vinyl magnets:

VistaPrint online printing services help you create and order the best custom products: marketing materials, business cards, signage, promotional products, custom gifts, packaging and more.

I have used them before... I got a 17" x 11" door magnet that was in yellow and black and said: "Caution: Slow Moving Vehicle". (for my Vanagon, not the festy). It was $10 and looked sharp. (p.s. don't pay for fast shipping, I did the slow-boat method and got it in less than a week.)

You could do your email thing on it twice, and cut it horizontally to have two 17" x 5.5" signs. Just a thought. I was thinking about doing some for "fordfestiva.com" in a color that "goes" with my car.

well, my secret weapon is I sugar binged a little; some sort of weird carmel flavored non-dairy coffee creamer the food bank foisted off on me a nice woman there too pleasant to refuse had offered me when I'd insisted on being "vegan" when they'd had a counter full of half gallons of milk to give away.

I try to be macrobiotic; whole grains, cooked vegies, little or no animal products and that sort of thing.("...nipple to the bottle Now the cow must die..." to quote the great Grace Jones' lyrics who BEATLE Paul McCartney is also a fan of with myself)

Though also lately discovering my childhood passion for eating fresh apples since the food bank always has as many of those as you want, mostly excellent great "heirloom" varieties too!(after an experience trying to support myself as an indigent, transient agricultural worker following college working in the apple country of Washington state in the late '70s, I lost all taste for the fruit for a couple decades*)

Oh, I tried to email myself via the link "bobstad@fordfestiva.com" and got a bounce back so apparently I'm not hooked up for that here I would probably activate if I got a matching "bobstad@" sticker to go with my "fordfestiva.com" one.

Thanks for all the seemingly illiterate gear head comments on my verbosity and goofy habit here.(BETTER READ THAN DEAD...or to quote Karl Marx; "the only antidote to mental anguish is physical pain")

*though long now a fan of the unsweetened government apple sauce in cans which is often a treat at food banks both here and in northern California previously.

                      You're hilarious bob!

I try to eat well too but I don't know if I could go without my meats.

I also agree with Simon, I think bobstad@ looks too much like an email address, but

                      FordFestiva.com - Bobstad
                      or
                      Bobstad - FordFestiva.com
                      or
                      I'm "Bobstad" at - FordFestiva.com
                      might work.

A great idea, but something that our current website host cannot handle at this point in time. I've suggested the idea to the other admins... But until we move the website to a newer, better host (which means more $$, requiring more donations), the idea isn't going to go anywhere.
