        ya, I figured thats the response I'd get. I didn't mean trash it, like run into stuff and spray paint it. Just you know, like ebrake turns, see how many people we can fit in it then go hit on the ladys at stop lights, go tray drifting, etc, etc. Also I don't really have my own car right now, my mom just took back her Ford Contour (4 cylinders, 4 doors, 4 speeds) so I kinda need a car of my own. My friends cars are an Explorer, a Grand Prix, and a Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon (he cleans it daily). I would take good care of it, replace parts when they broke, I can't stand dirty cars so I vaccumed my car once a week and washed it atleast once a month, I'm a decent driver. I'm sorry if my first statemnt offened anyone (or everyone), but please forgive me.

        Thanks, Connor

            Well if you want a sweet car that has a lot of potential for modifications, AND isn't like everything else, then a festiva is the way to go. These cars deserve WAY more respect than they are given.

                I know the festivas deserve respect, and I do respect the festiva. I think it would be a fun car to own, and I would enjoy driving it to its fullest potential (is that better for you guys).

                    Wow... I've just lost a lot of respect for some of our better known members on the site. And we wonder why we have people posting elsewhere that we're such a "welcoming" bunch of people here.

                    Dude - The Festiva is a great car. They're cheap to work on, they're easy to fix, parts are easily found in any number of junkyards, on EBay, on in our FS forums. They're reliable, do good in the snow, and engine swaps are easy, again with junkyard parts.

                    And since someone had to whore their vehicle... Here's what mine looked like a few years ago:

                    Kitted, shaved, engine swap, air suspension, ragtop, interior all done, head and tail light swap, big brake upgrade, wheels, etc...

                    And my Festiva now is stock looking and fast.

                      I think maybe he just started out on the wrong foot here. When I got my GL it was just a cheap economy car that I can drive back and forth to work. Then I found this site and started modding it. Now I have three and Im sure it wont stop there. They deffinatly grow on you. If you get a Festiva be nice to it and in the long run you wont regret it.

                        OK, I'm one of the first ones to condemn mutilation of a good Festiva, but;

                        How many of us bought a Festiva as a beater car, and THEN found this website...?

                        How many of us beat the crap out of a Festiva, only to discover they are nearly immortal...?

                        How many of us bought a Festiva as basic transportation, and then simply fell in love with the little bugger...?

                        Conbon, I wouldn't help you find one to destroy, no. But, I would help you find one to use as a daily driver. You don't need to go nuts with a Festy like some of us have. There's no rule that says you should worship these cars. We'd like it if you did, voluntarily. But I wouldn't hold against you if all you wanted a Festiva for was basic transportation. That's what these cars were designed to be!

                        Folks, take it a little easier on the newb. Yes, he made some statements that we found offensive. But, this is no way to win him over.

                        I'm not even close to being a god-fearing man, but doesn't some special text say something like "He who is without sin, cast the first stone"?

                        Let's lighten up a bit, and try to show Conbon the joy that is Festiva!!!
