Dose anyone have an evap case they can take pictures of for me? I'm trying to determine if it would be feasible to install a heater core in one. We didn't get a/c up here.

Sweet! Thanks! :p That looks more promising than I thought! I can make it thru the summer up here without a/c (not that I have a/c now anyways). But the winter.. now thats another story... I can't take the cold.
With a heater core in there on a solenoid valve I could have.. DASH HEAT!!! woo-hoo! This is looking good. That and a big factory a/c blower motor, I could be the festiva heat king! :laughing6:

So do you plan on T'ing off of the hoses from the original heater core hoses to the secondary one? And then from the box hooking up another blower motor with ducting to the dash vents?

Sounds like a great idea! Write up!

Kinda. I will Tee off the coolant lines from the original heater core. And I will install solenoid valves in the lines so it can be shut off in the summer.
But, no additional ducting will be required. With AC, the evaporator is installed 'in-line' with the heater/blower case. The box FestivaGTX pictured gets installed between the air intake and the heater/blower case, so all the air for the climate control gets sucked through it. This is how A/C can be blown thru the dash vents. What I'm thinking is, getting one of those cases, and instead of having the A/C evaporator in there, Im going to put a second heater core in there. So all the air for the climate control will be heated! And even better... when set on defrost/floor the air will pass through two heater cores!!!! EXTREME!!!!

If there is enough room I am going to use a stand-alone heating unit from princess auto. They sell these 'auxillary heaters' that are an all in one heater core and blower motor, some of them are pretty small. They range from about 3,500 to 36,000 BTUs
