Does anyone know if the B6T ECU in the capri's and 323GT/GTX's are the same?

I know the 323 and Capri wiring harnesses are very different, so I'd expect the ECU/PCMs to be different.Jim DeAngelis

well fact that with a capri harness i can run my b6t with the 323 gt ecu plugged in. i did not take the car for a ride though and see how it ran just idleded it

The capri ecu is an evolution of the BF 323. Larger & more intricate maps IIRC. I'll try & find my sources.

basically what me and Hot_wheels are trying to decide is which ECU he should send me, he swapped the 323 ECU into his Capri harness B6T car to make sure it works, and i guess it was a PITA to do and if the ECU's are the same he'd leave the 323 ECU in his car and sell me the capri oneOriginally posted by muscle_Car1 View Post

it is a -3 right now with out the win chill!! still no conclusive answers, if i get time this week if theres still no answer ill pull the ecu one more time, the wires are so cold and dont want to move right now and the plugs are brittleComment

They are both the same except for a few more lines of resolution on the Capri chip, FWIW not enough to sweat about. I had the Road race 323GTX chip put into my Capri ecu with no problems. Either will plug into and play either car.
Not enough differences to notice and no running differences.
