'93 Festiva L 5spd weight: 1900 pounds

The title about says it all. I weighed my Festiva with full tank of gas and everything in it.

For anyone curious,
1900 pounds

*full tank of gas, and 5 gallons of oil in the back

1988 Ford Specification Book states L model= 1713lbs, LX model= 1750lbs

Later fuel injected cars a bit more, but still under 1800lbs.

If he used a grain/feed scale, they're only acurate to within about 100lbs. Even certified truck scales aren't much better.

Sorry for the delayed response.. anyways, there was practically nothing in the car except 5 gallons of oil in the back I had forgotten about, and a full tank of gas. I'm guessing the oil weighs ~40 pounds. 1900 does not include my weight, I was out of the car. This was done on a certified scale accurate to +/- 5 lbs, which I have personally verified against corner-scales as well. It was more than I expected it to weigh too.

you have 60 lbs of just gas in there, oil was probably another 8-10. 1830...which is close to stock numbers if you have A/C

I wonder if the "curb' weight includes a full fuel tank?
