  • best high flow Catalytic converters?

I currently run a strait 2.25 to a Magnaflow N1 Performer muffler. I need to throw on a cat for smog, but i still want a nice sound and minimal performance loss. Money is no problem. so what cat should i get that will pass California emissions and my sanity?

    test tube

Sounds to me as though you need a test tube.
Put on the choked up cat, pass emissions and then unbolt the stainless bolts, and slip in a test tube while you bench test the cat until the next emissions test. Then, repeat step one.

I also have 2.25" exhaust , I installed a 2.25" Magnaflow (Mario Andretti) series converter , and have been very happy with it .

I wanted a Magnaflow "spun-cat", but they are illegal in California.

Not sure what a spun cat is , My Magna flow looks like the honey comb type.

I passed no problem. Sound? Sounds the same with or without it. Both of my cars have a Summit turbo muffler. It's a copy of some brand name turbo muffler.

I used two of these in 2.5" for minigun ,they are pretty well built and the internal design looks to flow rather well. The cores look just like the type that is used in most universal "spun " cats

I run both a B6 (Luxstiva) and a B3 (Twinstiva) with replaced exhausts. I used Magnaflow 2" low restriction cats on both, with all 2" pipes and stock exhaust manifolds. Mufflers are both Magnaflow straight-throughs. Sound is good, but there is no e-check here in Central Ohio.

The only difference is a Thrush Cherry Bomb as a midpipe resonator on Twin.

The new California laws make it hard to buy a high flow cat. We are so boned up here with our emission laws.
