    Sad day here for econolines.
Got a notice in the mail that the small town we live in will only allow property owners to "store" vehicles that are running, driving, registered and insured anywhere visible.
In other words if you can't legally drive it or get it inside the garage it has to find a new home.
Everyone in town has 30 days to clean up or the city will do it for you and send you the bill.
I will be left with 2 econolines, 2 festivas and 1 ranger pickup, this will be the least amount of vehicles I have had at one time in years. I have a couple others that are stored elsewhere.

      econoaddict,
That is a sad day indeed. econolines are an endangered species and need to be protected!

We fight that problem here in Raleigh all the time. They will only let you have one unlicensed vehicle in your yard. All others have to be tagged and insured.

The city got on us last year and were going to fine us if we didn't get rid of or tag all our vehicles. The fine is $100 per day. We had to move some stuff and tag some others. Not sure the city likes it, but between Dean and me, we have 6 tagged vehicles plus one in the garage.

If Dean brings home a new "project" car, he has to be very carful. It can't stay for more than a few days and then has to go somewhere else. So, now we have a "top secret secure storage location" for parts vehicles called Area 52. LOL

do what I did when they tried that crap here in Baltimore County; sit in you driveway with a loaded shotgun and dare them to step foot on your property. For some reason, that seems to summon the Baltimore County Police rather quickly...

Enough folks did protest to force the county to change the regulation to read "vehicles visible from the road"

Yeah, my problem is I have parking for at least 12 vehicles ON my property but it is all very visible from the road and back yard isn't fenced YET.

These "violations" are also being selectively sent out. There are properties here with cars setting that I remember from when I was about 8 yrs old, now 41. Another guy runs an auction business and stores all of his "junk" (as defined by the city) in the front yard of his place on main street but nothing said there.
Really trips me out, the town is small, maybe 1000 people on a good day with ONE business in town, a store.
Thinking very hard about contacting an attorney.
