        265,000
        213,000
        196,000
        183,000
        171,000
        153,000
        151,000
        128,000
        125,000
        123,000
        84,000

My question is : How many miles left in my festivas ? Ill drive a festiva the rest of my life !! If they all make it to the 265,000 mark of my highest mileage car( Im sure they will ) Ive still got well over a milllion miles left. It took me 13 years to put 175,000 on my first festiva so 1,000,000/175000 X 13years = approx 75 more years. Guess I better pass them along to the next couple of generations. Take care of them and they will last a long time. ( providing you can get parts for them )

Check my sig. I have been driving the 88 since 1990. Had 37,000 when I got it. The 90L I bought 2 weeks ago today. It just needs an electrical problem solved and it will be on the road.

              38,051m (61,275km)

Bought from original owner in September with only 36,000 miles on it.

This is a very original car - still has unmarked plush seats under the 80's seat covers & dealer fitted Mazda floor mats & headlamp guards. Only had to change the tyres to pass the pre-sale roadworthy inspection!

My 1990 have 221,000 miles and burns a lot of oil and unfortunatley has just sprung a transmission leak too. I see the end coming fast. I bought it new so it feels like part of the family. I have actually had it longer than my kids.

I just turned 63K, I bought it with 62. 1.5 miles to work doesnt rack up the miles very fast!

NON American muscle. It has a mazda engine and a 100% mazda design. KIA assembled it. Ford was only the middle man and had nothing to do with any of the parts or design.

I bought my 89 carbed daily driver in Boise, Idaho for $150 with 120K on the nose. Almost two years later now it's at 169,890. Burns/leaks a little oil but runs perfect....and I get 5 gallon buckets of good 30W for free from my brother's work. She might run forever.
                            Because....45 MPG.

My 92 GL just turned over 100,000 a couple of weeks ago. I've owned it since June of '96. It had 36,000 when I got it. So I've put roughly 5500 miles a year on it. In that time I have repaired four things. A driver's side rear wheel bearing, the emergency brake cable due to Ohio salt, the catalytic converter because I got tired of the rattling it was making (It was still passing emission tests), and recently, the engine fan & motor. Oh,yeah, I also have to feed it a little freon each spring due to a small condenser leak. The guys at my garage wanted to buy it for The 24 Hours Of Lemons. I of course became a little offended. "You want to take my future collector's car and race it!" Instead they found an Escort wagon that they turned into a Ranchero looking creature they called an "Escrementchero" They came in 18th out of about 54 cars. If you have never heard of "The 24 hours Of Lemons", believe me it is a hoot. Here is their web-site.

Because racing isn't just for rich idiots... it's for all idiots.

                              Cheers, Paul S
