The rear windows (not the hatch) open do they not?

I only ask because they look like they should, but I'm not sure...

yes just like most minivans with manual vent windows

but then someone could have glued them shut or mis-aligned the pivot hinge

yes they do. you just pull the back of the latch looking thing in toward the interior of the car. it should snap loose and then you can see how it works from there.

Are you refering to the rear window or side windows? The rear does not open the side ones do.

please note in the first post, if you read carefully , he says: "(not the hatch)"

No, I suffer from mild paranoia. I think I'm going to get killed by everyone. It actually makes me the safest cart pusher at wal mart, so it has its pluses
