I just had a person ask if I would be interested in a stripped out festiva, set up super stiff for autox... heres a pic and video... What should I be paying for this car... pretty sure it is just stock engine wise...
in car video from my festiva on the K&M kart track on lumsden, July 28th, 2007

His comments on YouTube says it has a salvage title and has invested less than $500 in total... So, I'd go less than that.
Trash is correct. Salvage title car. Got fastest time of day at that event. Less than $500 invested into the car including the purchase price of the car. 13x10" wheels with formula atlantic slicks seem to help out with traction.
i just got a msg from him... apparently he has already sold the slicks and wheels off it so it just has 12 inchers... it has 600lb/inch springs in the front, and 450lb/inch springs in the rear. Rear shocks are for a 3/4ton van, and the fronts are the stock struts filled with gear oil.
Says he wants $350 for it,
Opinions???

seems like it would only be worth it if there are autox events near where you live and you are interested in autox. looks like that is all the car is good for at this point. looks like a beat festiva that has been stripped down to the bare bones and beat some more.
ya its about an hour and half to the nearest autox events...
Does anyone know how they could go about organizing autox events in your own town.. what are the steps necessary? can anyone do it?

well, I'm going to have to disagree with everyone, I mean yes it would be fun to drive it in autoX but think about it, it is completley stripped with barely nothing left on it besides the stuff to make it drivable, and it does have some rust. Just my .02
Well considering how well maintained the engine/axles/brakes are then 350 is good. But now that i think about it, autox usually means some extent of abuse.
