  • Best upgrade.

I was driving around all weekend, despite being sick, and it came to me that the best upgrade I've done to my car is...

    ...The steering wheel.

Just the feel of a small chunky steering wheel really adds to the whole driving experience.

I think the seats, and the "variable intermittant" wiper stalk would be a close second & third.

I think they make the car too touchy if it's too small.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.

Anomoly40, my goal was to get the go kart feel of the mini with my festiva. I like the instant response feel of a smaller steering wheel. I remember the weekend I put it on. I drove the entire weekend, it was like having a new car.

Totally agree, I love my little 11 1/2 inch wheel.

My next is racing seats, they were the best thing I bought for my WRX. They really hold you still, so you don't have to fight with the wheel.

I love my Grant wheel as well. I have one in the Jeep too. And if I could, I'd install one on my bike too! Haha....

Although... I think the wheel comes in second place compared to the BP swap.

I think clubmans would look a little goofy on a Suzuki Savage thumper!

Well, I haven't really upgraded anything, but modded the grille a little bit, and like it a lot!

                        What is a clubman bar?
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

                          Hi all. First post!

I've had my Festiva about 6 months now and I have to say the best upgrade I could have possibly done is new wheels and tires.

I picked up 4 13" aluminum wheels off an 88 Tracer for less than $20 each. My buddy at the body shop sanded and painted them for me then I wrapped 185/60R13 Sumitomos around them. OMG! the car rides SO much better!

                          Peace

                            Personalized license plate. Definitely.

Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

Gonna have to agree on the intermittent wipers. In rainy BC they are awesome.
