  • Finally took pics of my 89 L

Hi guys, got around to taking pics of my car, she's a diamond in the rough but she's gonna be gorgeous by the time October 3 comes around.

I also installed a strip of LED's in my dash, looks kinda cool and easy to do.

Cool dash lights. They remind me of the alien autopsy movie. Does the dash light dimmer still work with the LED's?

No, I wired it directly to the red/blue wire and ground under the dash so it comes on with my headlights. It doesn't bother me, but I guess some people may think they're too bright.

Yes very clean for a '89. What do you have planned for it?

Thanks for the welcomes guys! I did a little Bondo work on the left front fender tonight, its 11 pm, and I'm gonna take it to get painted tomorrow. Then I'll be Festiva less for 2 or 3 days, man, thats gonna suck. The color will be a surprise so yall will have to wait til Friday or Saturday when I take pics. Its only a Maaco job, but anything is better than the faded factory faint.

Before you pull the trigger check out the Rustoleum Roller $50 Paint Job. Tons of info about it online. That's what I'll be doing once I get my garage back and the weather warms up.

Thanks for the tip Spiko, I read over it briefly and it sounds and looks great, but I have very little time to really do anything, except for sundays. Thats why I was doing body work at 11pm last night. Let us know how it turns out for you.
