we were loading it up for her first night out, so i had to take these quick.

You need to wear the fannel shirt and head lamp and have more grease on you for the full effect .

no, not at all. i was going for a tribute to nate, but it looks like the fumes had gotten the best of me. (was trying to explain how to take the picture, when my dad figured it out)

    ROCK ON!

all thats left is to stick the moldings back on and maybe some pin stripes to divide the colors, and to swap out the door glass with tinted glass

we had some runs in the clear that still need to be buffed out (thats the dull sanded areas you see here)

in a word.... i did. i think what you are seeing is the black sealer. i don't really have a good picture to explain it. but i painted well below where i knew my lines would be.

you can kind see it in this shot

see how on each side of the tape the paint is darker than in the middle of the hood. the middle is just the sealer, and near the tape in paint. hope that helps.

Just curious, b/c I don't know much about painting cars and I found that interesting. I would have thought, "...save the paint and just paint a little bit below the line where the color changes.

Thanks for sharing your updates. This is a really nice project and that two-tone paint job looks awesome!
