  • Did some minor body work

When I bought my Festy, it had some deep scratches on the LF fender, as if the owner side swiped something. Well last night, I mixed up some Bondo and went to work on those scratches and little dent. It took an hour or so because I sanded totally by hand, it would have taken only 20 or 30 minutes if I had a random orbital sander. I still have a tiny spot to sand out where the small dent was.

In the first picture, you can see the gouges and little dent. The last two are the finished work.

looks good, you made sure to sand it before applying the bondo, right?

Yes, scuffed the areas around the dents and scratches to provide a "mechanical tooth" for the Bondo to adhere to.

        Looks good!

When I did mine I used the standard "pink" bondo... I didn't know there was blue. That would have matched my car almost perfectly!
Didn't matter since I pained the whole thing a few weeks later, but the blue is still much more subtle for the mean time

Its the Bondo Gold class or something high speed like that. The hardener is blue so I guess it made the flesh colored Bondo blue when mixed. Well, I dropped it off at Maaco an hour ago, I can't wait til Thursday or Friday. Hope it'll look pretty cool.
